Resident Calls for Tree Trimming and Beautification Works Ahead of Ipoh City’s 38th Anniversary

By: Aida Aziz

IPOH: An Ipoh resident has called for several improvement works to be carried out in the city in conjunction with the upcoming 38th anniversary celebration of Ipoh City this June.

The resident said among the urgent matters that should be addressed include trimming large roadside trees, which are reportedly obstructing the view of road users on a daily basis.

He also raised a long-standing concern among city residents regarding the condition of the fountain stones located in front of the Tun Razak Library, which he said are in need of repainting as they appear worn and dilapidated.

“Please urge the relevant authorities to trim the roadside trees that are blocking visibility along Jalan Raja Musa Aziz. I hope the Ipoh City Council (MBI) will take immediate action in conjunction with the city’s anniversary celebration.

“I also hope MBI can at least repaint the fountain stones located right in front of the library. It affects the overall scenery for the public who frequently pass by the area,” he said in a message to Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.

The appeal reflects growing public calls for enhanced city maintenance and beautification efforts as Ipoh prepares to mark another milestone as a city.
