The Ipoh Family History Center (IFHC) held a Family Discovery Day earlier this month, to discover and celebrate family heritage at its premises on 12, Lorong Cheah Cheang Lim, 30350, Ipoh. The event was open to the public, with attendees viewing displays of family trees and family exhibits.
The keynote speaker, Ms Ciric Chiu from Hong Kong, is an expert in searching online for Chinese Clan Genealogy Book (Jia Pu). Her presentation in Cantonese was translated into English for the benefit of those present. The presentation included a step-by-step guide on how to do the search. There was interaction with the attendees, who requested for more details as the presentation progressed, in order to get a clearer understanding of how the search is to be done.
