Memory Lane flea market needs a mobile toilet, says Ipoh resident

By Aida Aziz

IPOH: Memory Lane, also known as Pasar Karat Loken, remains one of Ipoh’s most popular weekend attractions, drawing visitors with its wide selection of antique, unique and second-hand items.

The iconic market, synonymous with the city, operates every Sunday along Jalan Horley.

However, an Ipoh resident has suggested that a mobile toilet be provided at the site to better accommodate the growing number of visitors.

The resident said it was time for the authorities to install a portable toilet in the vicinity, given the market’s popularity among both local and international visitors.

“Memory Lane is a popular attraction that draws visitors, including tourists from outside Perak.

“I hope the Ipoh City Council (MBI) will consider the proposal to provide a mobile toilet in the area,” the resident said.

Memory Lane has long been a favourite destination for collectors and enthusiasts of antiques and vintage items, offering everything from furniture and classic kitchenware to old coins and stamps, electrical appliances, books, shoes, and other collectables.
