Cattle Dung Litters Road, Public Urges Authorities To Take Action

By Zaki

IPOH – Road users are urging the authorities to take immediate action over the problem of free-roaming cattle leaving dung on public roads.

The issue occurs along Jalan Jirat Cina leading to Hala Rapat Jaya Tambahan, near Kampung Rapat Jaya Tambahan.

The situation is said to occur frequently in the early morning when cattle are left to graze freely without proper supervision in the area.

The cattle dung scattered along the roadside and in the middle of the road not only creates an unsightly environment but also poses a danger to motorists.

Some vehicles, including motorcycles, are forced to run over the dung because they are unable to avoid it, increasing the risk of accidents.

Residents believe the herd belongs to local livestock owners who allow their animals to roam freely for grazing before returning in the evening.

They are also concerned that the roaming cattle may obstruct traffic and lead to unwanted incidents.

The public has called on the Department of Veterinary Services and the local authorities to step up monitoring and enforcement efforts.

They also suggested that surprise inspections be carried out in the late afternoon to identify the owners of the cattle.

Road users hope swift action will be taken to prevent the problem from becoming a recurring issue that continues to endanger public safety.
