TAIPING – A total of 100 chairs have been donated to Taiping Hospital to help address the seating shortage in the hospital’s Radiology Department.
The donation was presented by MCA Youth Information Chief and Special Officer to the Deputy Prime Minister, Neow Choo Seong.
Neow said the chairs would be used by patients, members of the public and visitors seeking services at the hospital.
He said the initiative was undertaken after he was informed of the shortage of chairs in the Radiology Department at Taiping Hospital.
“The most important thing is to ensure that the problems faced by the people are resolved, regardless of who receives the recognition.
“For me, what matters is that the people’s problems are resolved and their interests are given priority,” he said.
The donation was received by Taiping Hospital Deputy Director (Management), Puan Hafizah Ahmad.
Neow also expressed his appreciation to all parties who helped make the initiative a success for the comfort and well-being of the people.
He also reminded those in positions of authority not to prevent any party from helping to resolve problems faced by the public.
He said existing weaknesses or shortcomings should not be concealed as the people are now mature enough to assess the actual situation.
He hoped the donation would provide greater comfort to patients and visitors while helping to improve facilities at Taiping Hospital.
The latest contribution continues Neow’s efforts to assist Taiping Hospital after he donated 11 medical beds to the hospital last year.
