IPOH – The latest Tamil action thriller, Irumbuth Thottam, is now being screened at FST Seri Kinta cinema here.


The film revolves around two police officers, Rahim, played by Irfan Zaini, and Easwaran, portrayed by Logavarman Strideran.
The screening at FST Seri Kinta received a warm response, with various activities organised to celebrate the film’s release.
The event was also enlivened by fireworks and a molam drum performance as part of the celebrations.
The event was organised by I.M.S Selva, who is also the President of Ipoh Media Supporters.


He expressed his commitment to continue supporting locally produced Tamil films as part of efforts to contribute to the growth of Malaysia’s film industry.
In brief, the film follows the investigation by the two police officers into the disappearance of a 15-year-old student in the town of Sri Tebong.
Their investigation leads them to uncover various hidden secrets and unexpected connections within the community.
They also encounter a dark truth that has long remained hidden beneath the seemingly ordinary lives of the local residents.


Irumbuth Thottam features a cast including Marie Dashani Matthews, Mohana Raj, Dhurgaashini S. Vijyan and Vino Shan.
Also starring in the film are Vinoshan and Nishaangelica.
The screening event was attended by special guests, including Chairman of the Kinta Ipoh Social Welfare, Sports and Cultural Association and Chairman of the Buntong Child Protection Team, P. Uvarajan.
Also present were Chairman of Kelab Usahawan Maju Jaya, Gunasilan Lakshmanan, as well as Jayaselan Ramachandram of Kedai Cermin S18 KK Road Ipoh and Jay Cahaya Resource.
Other guests included Karthikgeesan R.S. Ramalingam of K Digital Hub Mart and Krishna Raj Raman of AK Vel Raj Enterprise.
The organisers also expressed their appreciation to Aasaipathen Logesh and Mohan Sha from the Kutra Vaali film team, as well as the management of FST Seri Kinta Ipoh, Daniel and Poongkodi, FST Cinemas HQ and the Ipoh Makkal community.
