IPOH, 23 August 2026 — JCI Kinta organised Sessions 2 and 3 of The HER Circle, its women empowerment programme series, at V-Nest Concept Cafe. Bringing personal image development and emotional well-being together in one enriching day, the sessions encouraged women to discover their strengths, express their individuality and reconnect with their inner selves.
In Session 2, HER Image, carried the theme “Discover. Dress. Express.” The transformational session helped participants understand how colour, clothing, grooming and personal expression can influence their confidence and the way they present themselves.
The session was led by Nicole Wong, an image and grooming consultant and fashion entrepreneur, together with Dr Evelyn Ch’ng, founder of Emage Academy, an Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) Certified Image Consultant (CIC) and award-winning image consultant, author, speaker and Human Resource Development (HRD)-accredited trainer.
During the session, participants were introduced to colour analysis to identify shades that complement their natural features, styling techniques suited to different body shapes, effective personal grooming and ways to strengthen their self-confidence. Through practical guidance and interactive activities, they gained a better understanding of personal styling as an authentic form of self-expression rather than merely a matter of outward appearance.
The journey continued in the afternoon with Session 3, SHE Heal, under the theme “Heal Within. Shine Beyond.” The session invited participants to slow down, explore their emotions and restore a sense of balance, clarity and inner calm.
Maegrenn Yap, a certified behavioural therapist, life coach, hypnotherapist and quantum healing practitioner, facilitated the Colour Emotion segment. Drawing on more than 10 years of experience in corporate leadership, people development and organisational transformation, she guided participants in exploring the emotional meanings of colours and how they can influence mood and energy.
Participants learned to use colour as a tool for self-awareness and personal growth while reconnecting with their authentic selves through their individual “colour voices.”
The healing journey continued with Shervlynn Sam, a spiritual healer and founder of The Moon Healing, who facilitated a singing bowl and energy connection healing experience. With her expertise in singing bowl and colour energy healing, she created a calming environment in which participants could relax, reconnect with themselves and experience a deeper sense of inner balance.
Together, the experiences presented through SHE Heal highlighted the importance of emotional awareness, mental well-being and intentional self-care in supporting sustainable personal growth.
