IPOH: Residents in Buntong have been urged to refrain from illegally dumping rubbish, particularly in residential areas.
Ipoh City Council (MBI) Buntong Zone Councillor Sivam Kali Muthu said such irresponsible acts not only pollute the environment and affect residents’ comfort, but also add to MBI’s workload.
“The illegal dumping site at Laluan Sungai Pari 14, Buntong Satu, was immediately cleared after a complaint was received.
“I would like to reiterate my call to Buntong residents not to dispose of rubbish indiscriminately, especially in residential areas.
“MBI personnel have to spend time and effort clearing illegal dumping sites, which can disrupt their daily duties,” he said.
He also called on Buntong residents to cooperate with him to curb illegal dumping.
