IPOH: A host of activities centred on books, literature, arts and digital technology will be featured at the Perak State Public and Digital Library Open Day and Children’s Literature and Arts Festival on September 11 and 12.

Organised by the Perak State Public Library Corporation (PPAN Perak), the two-day programme will be held from 8.30 am to 6 pm at the corporation’s premises.
Among the main activities lined up are a book sale, exhibitions and performances, literary activities, creative programmes as well as digital technology and innovation activities.
The programme is aimed at providing the community, particularly children and young people, with an opportunity to explore the world of reading while engaging in literature, arts and technology-related activities in a more relaxed and interactive setting.
The Children’s Literature and Arts Festival will also adopt creative approaches to encourage the younger generation to develop an interest in literary works and the arts.
Apart from book and literary activities, visitors will also have the opportunity to experience programmes combining creativity with digital technology and innovation.
The public is invited to join the two-day programme, held in line with the slogan “Perak Membaca, Rakyat Sejahtera” (Perak Reads, the People Prosper).
