MBI Offers Free Digital OKU Pass

IPOH – Ipoh City Council (MBI) is offering a free Digital Persons with Disabilities (OKU) Pass to eligible OKU individuals within its administrative area.

The facility is open to OKU individuals registered with the Social Welfare Department (JKM).

Applicants must also possess a valid driving licence and work within the MBI administrative area.

The initiative was introduced to facilitate the daily affairs of the OKU community, particularly in relation to the use of parking spaces.

MBI, in a statement, said the facility is expected to help the group access and enjoy city services more conveniently and systematically.

It said the implementation of the Digital OKU Pass also reflects MBI’s commitment to providing inclusive urban facilities for all segments of society.

Eligible OKU individuals are encouraged to apply or obtain further information from the Parking Unit, MBI Treasury Department.

Applicants may also visit Counter UTC 16, Parking Unit, Level 2, UTC Perak, Jalan Dato’ Onn Jaafar, Ipoh.

MBI hopes the facility will ease the daily affairs of the OKU community while strengthening efforts to make Ipoh a friendly and inclusive city.
