IPOH: Dry tree branches and twigs along Jalan Kuala Pari Hilir towards Taman Pengkalan Tiara here have not only become an eyesore but are also disrupting and obstructing road users who travel along the road every day.
According to a complainant identified as Hafiz, the branches and twigs have been lying along the road for more than two months, and he claimed that no cleaning or clearing work had been carried out despite the potential risk to public safety.
He further said that the branches, which occupy almost half of the road, pose significant risks to road users and could potentially cause accidents, particularly at night when visibility is low.
“We urge the relevant authorities, including the councillors, to monitor this area. Please look at the danger it poses to the public, especially motorcyclists. At night, road users could easily collide with the branches that are obstructing almost half of the road.
“We hope prompt action will be taken to clear the area,” he told Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic.
