3 houses of farm workers were destroyed by fire in Padang Rengas

KUALA KANGSAR: Three houses for farm workers, consisting of an area of ​​80X40 square feet were destroyed in a fire incident in Padang Rengas today.

Head of Operations of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Senior Fire Officer II Meor Kamrul Hasnin Bahiran said, he received a call regarding the incident at 9.50am.

He also said that the three houses were destroyed in the fire by 85 percent, 75 percent and 30 percent respectively.

“Members from the Kuala Kangsar Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) assisted by Taiping BBP rushed to the scene of the incident.

“When the machinery arrived at the location, it was found that there was a fire involving three class A workers’ houses, however, no casualties were reported to be involved.

“The fire brigade then extinguished the fire using two streams and two 100-foot fountains sourced from open water,” he told reporters.

The operation ended completely at 12.01 pm.
