IPOH: Renowned music maestro Datuk M. Nasir captivated the audience with a spellbinding performance during the Majlis Makan Malam Amal Nusantara KBGK Bersama Datuk M. Nasir, held at the Ipoh Convention Centre last night.
The event was graced by the presence of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim.
Also in attendance were Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and his wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubir, along with other dignitaries and guests.
M. Nasir opened the evening’s performance with a dramatic rendition of Mentera Semerah Padi, accompanied by a group of traditional silat performers.

Without the need for much interaction, the legendary composer held the audience’s full attention as he delivered a poetic selection of his hits, including Ada, Tanya Sama Itu Hud Hud, Hati Emas, and Mustika.
He struck an emotional chord with the crowd before performing Bonda, a heartfelt song he wrote in memory of his late mother. The lyrics poignantly expressed a child’s longing and sorrow after the passing of a beloved parent.
To close the night on a joyous note, M. Nasir obliged a request from the audience with his evergreen festive hit Satu Hari Di Hari Raya, which drew cheerful applause.
The vibrant and lively dinner event drew a crowd of more than 1,400 guests.
