MANJUNG: Unauthorized placement of tables was among several offences detected by enforcement officers from the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM) during a food premises enforcement operation in the district.

Additionally, one food outlet was issued a notice and ordered to close due to unsatisfactory hygiene conditions.

An immediate cleaning order was also issued based on findings during a hygiene grading inspection.

The operation was carried out by MPM’s Food Premises and Hawkers Unit under the Department of Licensing and Enforcement, covering inspections of 17 food premises.

As a result of the inspections, a total of 28 compounds were issued, each carrying a fine of RM250.

In a statement, MPM reminded food traders to always comply with the conditions and regulations set by the authorities.

Strict action will continue to be taken against any party that fails to do so, in order to ensure cleanliness, safety, and the well-being of consumers.
