IPOH: The Kumpulan Selendang Perak joined the Tourism Malaysia delegation to promote the nation’s culture at ITB China 2025, held at the DLG Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
The international event, which took place from May 27 to 29, also saw participation from other countries.
Selendang Perak’s involvement included traditional dance performances showcasing the beauty of Malaysia’s heritage.
The event is part of Tourism Malaysia’s broader plan to attract more visitors from Mainland China for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

The cultural showcase was a major highlight at the Malaysia Pavilion, drawing significant attention from the public and local media.
Offstage, the Selendang Perak Group helped promote Malaysia’s tourism gems—from cultural villages to beautiful islands.
It was a proud moment for Malaysia, using culture as a bridge to connect with global travel partners and to invite the world to explore what the country has to offer.
