LUMUT: The MADANI Rakyat (PMR) 2025 programme is scheduled to take place at the Lumut Waterfront, Lumut, Perak, from June 13 to 15 (Friday to Sunday), with more than 100,000 visitors expected to attend.


Organised by the Prime Minister’s Department (PMO) through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit (PACU), the event is held in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) as the lead ministry and the Perak State Government as the host.
Carrying the theme “Higher Education: The Driver of a MADANI Nation”, PMR 2025 aims to highlight the pivotal role of higher learning institutions in shaping national policies and development through knowledge, research, innovation, and critical thinking.
The programme will feature various activities, including public service touchpoints, community wellbeing initiatives, engagement sessions with leaders, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts by government-linked companies (GLCs).
Mobile service counters from federal and state ministries and agencies, as well as exhibitions under the Perak Sejahtera 2030 development agenda, will also be among the main attractions for visitors.
The closing ceremony on June 15 (Sunday) will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and is expected to be attended by senior leaders from both the federal and state governments.
The public is invited to attend and take full advantage of the wide range of services and activities available.
The programme runs from 9 am to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 9 am to 6 pm on Sunday.
