Azmi appointed as Tapah District Council President

IPOH: Former Senior Assistant Director of the National Anti-Drugs Agency, Putrajaya, Azmi Abdul Aziz has been appointed as the President (Yang Dipertua) of the Tapah District Council.

The official appointment letter was presented by the Perak Chief Minister, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad.

Azmi also previously served as the Senior Assistant Director at the Immigration Department of Malaysia in Putrajaya.

He is no stranger to Perak, having started his career in the public service in this state from 2008 to 2018.

Among the roles he held include Assistant Director at the State Education Department, Assistant District Officer at the Slim River/Tg Malim District & Land Office, and Assistant District Officer at the Batang Padang District & Land Office.

He later moved to Putrajaya to lead various government departments and agencies.

Meanwhile, in his speech, Saarani expressed confidence that Azmi’s extensive experience in the public service would be able to elevate Tapah to a more progressive level.

“I wish him well in shouldering this responsibility. May he continue to excel in leading the Tapah District Council with full dedication and integrity, Insha-Allah,” he said.
