IPOH: The registration of three sets of twins as new students at Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO) caught attention during the recent student intake at the campus.
Two of the pairs are identical twins, while one is a male-female twin pair.
Nurul Syafriena and Nurul Syafrieza Nasaruddin from Rawang, Selangor, chose to pursue a Diploma in Business Studies.
Meanwhile, Saw Xin Ying and Saw Xin Yi from Kota Setar, Kedah, enrolled in the Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Computer).
Another pair of twins, Sharran Raj Devaraju and Sharanie Devaraju, also from Rawang, Selangor, each opted to pursue a Diploma in Accounting.
All three sets of twins are part of the 1,727 new students officially registered for Session I 2025/2026, divided into two registration batches.
The first session involved 914 students, followed by 813 in the second group—successfully meeting PUO’s 100% enrollment target for the session.
