IPOH – The SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh Alumni Association (RPSian Alumni) will be organising its second edition of the “Sirih Pulang ke Gagang” and Hi-Tea Reunion on 6 September 2025 at Casuarina@Meru, from 3 pm to 6 pm.

RPSian Alumni president Dr Rosnah Idrus said the event aims to revive the “back to school” spirit among former students while strengthening networks among alumni who are now active in various professional fields.

“It is also part of our efforts to broaden the association’s welfare initiatives among former students and the local community.

“We are targeting around 300 participants, including alumni aged between 19 and 72.

“So far, six out of 11 former principals are expected to attend, making this not only a nostalgic reunion but also a platform to foster intergenerational connections,” she told reporters during a press conference at Mali Sate & Such café here today.

This year’s reunion will carry a “ladies only” theme with a relaxed yet glamorous concept and will feature a special segment titled “Queen of the Day – Glamorous Forever”, where participants are encouraged to wear classic and traditional Malay attire.

Dr. Rosnah strongly encouraged all former SMK Raja Perempuan Ipoh students to become active RPSian Alumni members, emphasising the value of joining for just RM30 per year or a lifetime membership fee of RM250.

“By registering, you contribute to our vibrant alumni network and support our ongoing initiatives,” she added.
