KAMPAR: In the spirit of igniting excitement for the upcoming National Day 2025, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kampar (SMK Kampar) is organizing the Malaysia Merdeka@SMK Kampar program.
Held in collaboration with the Kinta Selatan District Education Office, the event will take place this Wednesday (27 August) in the grounds of SMK Kampar.
Running from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, the program will see participation from students, teachers, and the local community, featuring various activities and exhibitions aimed at instilling patriotism.

The main highlight of the event is the Launch of the SMK Kampar Heritage Pavilion (Astaka Warisan SMK Kampar) – a symbol of the school’s dedication to preserving and celebrating local history and culture.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore unique exhibitions such as Perak Warrior: Tengku Menteri Ngah Ibrahim exhibit, National Archives of Malaysia showcase, Kinta Valley Geopark presentation and Military history exhibitions.
Traditional arts demonstrations will also be a major attraction, including labu sayong pottery making, weaving crafts, moulding and casting, as well as bookbinding demonstrations.
To further enliven the atmosphere, several competitions involving secondary school students from across the Kinta Selatan District will be held, such as drawing, coloring, and history quizzes.
Another crowd-puller is the interactive caricature drawing session with cartoonist BOYPJ, which is especially popular among students and visitors.
This program not only provides valuable insights into the nation’s history and culture, but also successfully strengthens patriotic spirit among the younger generation.
