IPOH: A lively and patriotic atmosphere colored the Merdeka Day Carnival 2025 held along the jogging trail at Taman Pertama, Jalan Ng Weng Hup, Buntong, here.
The carnival, organized by the Kinta Social Welfare, Sports and Cultural Association, successfully drew more than 200 participants from various ethnic backgrounds.


This in turn reflected the spirit of unity and harmony within the local community.
Among the events organized were a basketball competition, a karate demonstration, and an aerobics session participated in by individuals of all ages.
All activities were carried out in a friendly and spirited atmosphere.


According to the Chairman of the Kinta Social Welfare, Sports and Cultural Association, P. Uvarajan, the annual program aims to strengthen inter-racial relationships in conjunction with National Day celebrations.
“Every year, we strive to organize various activities in conjunction with Merdeka to foster patriotic spirit and reinforce community unity,” he said during the officiation of the carnival.
He also presented prizes to the winners of the various competitions held throughout the event.
In addition to recreational activities, the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian flag) was distributed to participants as a symbol of pride and love for the country.
The event was also supported by Wau Wau Cafe (Alex), Navira Meditect Sdn Bhd (Rajasegeran Navira), as well as taekwondo coaches Master Jason and Master Arunchalam.
The program received an enthusiastic response from local residents, many of whom attended with their families to further enliven the National Day celebrations.
