TAIPING: A community engagement session will be held as part of a conservation study for the Taiping Lake Gardens, organized by the local authorities in collaboration with relevant agencies.
The program will take place on October 4 and 5 (Saturday and Sunday) starting at 8:30 AM, at the Lake Front and Raintree Walk areas of the Taiping Lake Gardens.

Through this initiative, feedback from local residents, visitors, and park users is sought regarding the proposed conservation project currently being planned.
In a statement, the Taiping Municipal Council stated that the engagement session will include a public survey aimed at gathering views, suggestions, and assessing the public’s understanding of the proposed conservation efforts.
Among the main objectives of the study are to encourage community involvement in the conservation planning process, to ensure public needs and interests are considered in the implementation of the project, and to evaluate the community’s acceptance of sustainable efforts to preserve public spaces for recreation and leisure.
“Community feedback is crucial to ensure that the Taiping Lake Gardens continues to be a sustainable public space enjoyed by current and future generations,” said the statement.
The Taiping Lake Gardens, known as the oldest public park in Malaysia, is an iconic and significant heritage site in the district.
The planned conservation efforts aim to preserve its natural beauty while improving amenities for users.
The public is encouraged to attend and take part in the engagement session to ensure that the community’s voice is heard in this inclusive and responsible development process.
