LENGGONG: Nearly 500 guests attended the Ramah Mesra @ Deepavali Celebration for the Indian community of the Lenggong parliamentary constituency in conjunction with the festival.
This annual event has been held for the past 15 years as part of the Deepavali celebrations.

Among the attendees were local community leaders, village heads, and members of the Indian community who were the focus of the celebration.
The event was graced by the Chief Minister of Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, and Lenggong Member of Parliament, who is also Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Dr. Shamsul Anuar Nasarah.
In addition to a dinner feast, guests were entertained with traditional Indian cultural dance performances.

Meanwhile, Saarani, in a post on his official social media account, described the event as even more beautiful with the presence of people from various races coming together to enliven the atmosphere.
“The spirit of unity that binds us all was clearly visible. Despite our differences in race and culture, we remain harmonious and united.
“May this spirit of togetherness continue to flourish, illuminating every step we take as one big family living by the values of love, respect, and mutual understanding,” he said.
