IPOH: Lately, there have been numerous reported cases of cable theft and open manhole covers in various areas around Perak.
There are even viral videos showing several individuals suspected of committing these thefts in the early hours of the morning, typically between 2 to 3 a.m.
This time, a similar incident occurred at Lorong Cheah Cheang Lim here.
What is concerning is the safety of road users who travel along this road, as the manhole cover is left partially open.
This could lead to unwanted accidents due to the actions of irresponsible individuals lacking civic awareness.
It is hoped that the relevant authorities will monitor high-risk areas around the city to curb the spread of such activities.
