Quest International University (QIU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shen Jai High School to establish a comprehensive and forward-looking partnership aimed at enhancing academic excellence, fostering talent development, and enriching the educational ecosystem of Ipoh.
The agreement was formally signed by Nicholas Goh, Chief Executive Officer of Global Integrated Training Associates (GITA), on behalf of QIU, and Ewe Sarn Yeun, Chairman of the Board of Governors, Shen Jai High School. Their signatures mark a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between two key educational institutions within Perak’s capital city.
The collaboration is designed to foster deep, sustained cooperation across academic, training, research, and cultural domains. With both institutions based in Ipoh, the partnership aligns strategically with the Perak State Government’s mission to retain local talent and develop essential human capital by encouraging high school graduates to pursue higher education and career pathways within the state.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, QIU representatives highlighted the University’s long-standing commitment to serving Perak by offering inclusive, high-quality education to students from all backgrounds. As a community-focused institution, QIU provides industry-relevant programmes designed to meet the state’s growing economic needs—spanning artificial intelligence, information technology, life sciences, computing, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, arts, business, and more.
Through this MoU, QIU and Shen Jai High School will work closely to promote continuous advancement and raise the quality of education for both communities. This includes utilising QIU’s strong local and international partnerships with industry leaders to provide training and development opportunities for Shen Jai teachers and students. These initiatives will give students early exposure to cutting-edge skills, while empowering teachers through upskilling and professional growth.
The collaboration also reflects national priorities to strengthen the quality of STEM education in Perak, making these fields more attractive and accessible to young learners. Both parties will be sharing best practices, resources, and real-world applications of scientific and technological knowledge.
A key feature of the partnership is QIU’s emphasis on experiential learning, an approach that has long distinguished the university’s graduates. Through case studies, hands-on learning, and industry-engaged teaching methods, QIU has produced work-ready graduates who excel in competitive fields. The university aims to share this proven educational philosophy with Shen Jai High School to inspire a new generation of globally minded, future-ready talent.
Ultimately, this collaboration seeks to promote QIU’s higher education pathways to the Shen Jai community while contributing to the long-term growth, prosperity, and educational vibrancy of Ipoh. With a shared vision of nurturing holistic, globally competent learners, both institutions look forward to a fruitful partnership that uplifts the community and strengthens Perak’s human capital pipeline.
