IPOH: More than 10,000 visitors flocked to Persiaran Bandaraya Ipoh over the two-day Hingo Fest 2025, marking the finale of Tourism Perak’s 2025 calendar.

Tourism Perak chairman, Dato’ Mohamad Kamil Datuk Shafie, said Hingo Fest serves as a strategic platform to strengthen the state’s tourism sector and entrepreneurship in line with the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY2026) campaign.

“Hingo Fest 2025 is the second edition, which has received encouraging support from both local and out-of-state visitors.

“This year, 60 sales booths were set up covering various segments, including food, accessories, and local creative products,” he said while delivering the closing speech on behalf of Tourism Exco Loh Sze Yee last night.

Hingo Fest 2025 also featured a 3-on-3 Street Soccer competition and the Putera Perennial art exhibition.

He stressed that although Hingo Fest 2025 is the last Tourism Perak programme for the year, efforts to develop the state’s tourism sector will continue aggressively in preparation for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

“Perak fully supports VMY2026 and is committed to strengthening strategic collaborations to ensure the state emerges as a leading destination,” he added.

He also said that, in line with the #PromisingPerak initiative, Tourism Perak will continue to enhance the state’s tourism experience through various initiatives, with the highlight of 2025 being the New Year’s Eve 2026 celebration at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah, Meru, Ipoh, on 31 December.
