PANGKOR: Public issues and complaints can be heard more easily when elected representatives engage directly with the community.
Although the era of social media has simplified many matters, including handling public complaints, face-to-face engagement remains the most important approach.
This emphasis was highlighted by the Pangkor State Legislative Assembly Member (ADUN), Norhaslinda Zakaria, together with the Pangkor DUN Service Centre team during a visit to Sungai Pinang on Pangkor Island.

The visit aimed to personally hear the problems faced by local residents.
During the visit, she had the opportunity to meet the people and listen to the complaints and views conveyed by them.

Norhaslinda explained that all issues raised would be addressed to the best of her ability in order to find suitable solutions.
She also said that issues faced by residents would be brought to the attention of higher authorities to ensure action is taken for the collective well-being.

Although not all complaints can be resolved immediately, she stressed that no issue should be left unattended.
Her commitment to ensuring that every problem receives proper attention demonstrates her concern for the needs of the people in the area.
Ground-level outreach programs like this are hoped to further strengthen the relationship between elected representatives and local residents, while ensuring more holistic development on Pangkor Island.
