‘Hari Bertemu Pelanggan’ Serves as a Platform for Public Complaints

By Zaki Salleh

IPOH: A total of 1,011 out of 1,119 complaints received were successfully resolved through eight series of the ‘Hari Bert Pelanggan’ (HBP) programmes organised by the Perak state government throughout last year.

This achievement reflects public confidence in the state government’s ability to address and resolve issues and complaints raised by the people.

As such, the HBP programme will continue in 2026 with the same objective of making it easier for the public to convey their problems and enquiries.

This was evident when the first HBP session of 2026, held the day before yesterday at Ipoh Stadium, recorded 216 complaints.

For this session, a total of 96 service counters were provided, involving various government departments and agencies, including two mobile counters and Rahmah Sales.

In addition, the state government recognised the achievements of state athletes by awarding the Perak State Sports Excellence Incentive 2025 totalling RM45,650 to 40 athletes.

Meanwhile, the SEA Games Thailand 2025 Victory Incentive amounting to RM93,800 was awarded to 45 athletes.

At the same time, the Menteri Besar, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, officiated the presentation of appointment letters to the leadership of the Perak contingent for the Malaysia Games (SUKMA) XXII 2026 in Selangor.

The Perak contingent is led by Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim as Chef de Mission, assisted by Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and Datuk Leong Mun Yee.

The state government also strengthened its support for sports development through the handover of a new bus to the Perak State Sports Council and the implementation of the ‘Sistem Angkat’ to facilitate logistics and athlete welfare in preparation for SUKMA 2026.
