IPOH: A total of 16 orphans were celebrated as they welcomed the arrival of Ramadan at Restoran Mohd Chan@Ipoh here today.
The event, held at 12.30pm, was organised to honour children from Rumah Anak Yatim Baitul Aini Kuala Pari in conjunction with the upcoming holy month, as a gesture of care and to bring joy to underprivileged groups.
At the same time, the occasion also marked the festive cheer of the Chinese New Year with the presentation of contributions in the form of ang pau and hampers to all the orphans present.
Chief Business Development Officer Mohd Chan Group, KAHFY@Tong, presented the contributions as a symbol of love and appreciation for the children, while giving them the opportunity to experience the festive atmosphere of multiple cultures in a harmonious environment.
The event was further enlivened by a lively lion dance performance that captured the audience’s attention and added vibrant colour to the programme.
The organisation of the event also reflects the spirit of unity and harmony among the multiracial community in the country, while fostering values of compassion and care for those in need.
