Westlake International School Charity Carnival Raises Funds for UTAR Hospital

Westlake International School recently brought students, parents and the wider Kampar community together for its Charity Carnival 2026, held under the theme “One Community, One Heartbeat.”

The carnival was organised to encourage community spirit while raising funds for a meaningful cause. All proceeds from the event were donated to UTAR Hospital in support of its ongoing efforts to provide accessible and quality healthcare services to the community.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the education sector and the school leadership team. Among them were En. Muzafar bin Saari, Deputy District Education Officer, Learning Sector, Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Kinta Selatan, Pn. Wahida binti Hashim. Assistant District Education Officer for Private Education, School Management Sector, and En. Ishak bin Ismail, Assistant District Education Officer for Planning.

Also present were Westlake International School Executive Director Mr. Hew Fen Yee, CEO and Finance Director Ms. Hew Fee Voon, Principal Ms. May King, and Director of Marketing, Admissions, Ms. Denise.

The carnival drew enthusiastic participation from students, parents and members of the public, creating a lively day filled with food, performances, games and activities for different age groups.

Visitors enjoyed a variety of international cuisines and beverages, along with performances by the Wind Orchestra Westlake, a demonstration by the Cornerstone Taekwon-do Club, and vocal performances by UTAR students.

Among the attractions were a magic show by Uncle Billy, a miniature petting zoo featuring rabbits, lizards and snakes, a song request booth, a VR zone, haunted house and interactive games.

The raffle draw added to the excitement, with prizes including a 65 inch Google TV, an air conditioner, a 43 inch smart TV and other attractive items.

Westlake International School expressed its appreciation to all participants, sponsors, staff, students and families who contributed to the success of the carnival.

Through the event, the school reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility, community engagement and meaningful initiatives that bring people together for a shared purpose.
