Overgrown vegetation on the flyover mars Ipoh’s image, calling for urgent cleanup

IPOH: Overgrown vegetation on the flyover along Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab has sparked concern among Ipoh residents, who are calling on the relevant authorities to carry out immediate cleaning and maintenance works.

A concerned city resident said the lack of proper upkeep has resulted in plants and shrubs growing freely along the structure, affecting the city’s overall image.

He said maintenance should be carried out according to schedule, instead of allowing the area to become overrun with vegetation that detracts from the urban landscape.

“This flyover needs to be maintained, as many plants have grown wildly along the structure.

“I urge the Ipoh City Council (MBI) to take immediate action to clean it up, especially in conjunction with the upcoming City Day celebration,” he said.

The flyover, located in the heart of the city, is frequently used by motorists and serves as one of the main routes in Ipoh, making its appearance a key aspect of the city’s visual identity.
