IPOH: Residents of Persiaran Rishah 4 in Taman Rishah near Jelapang have been enduring unsatisfactory road conditions for more than eight years, with calls growing for a permanent solution to the long-standing issue.
A resident said the community is seeking comprehensive road repair works rather than temporary patching, claiming that the road surface continues to deteriorate despite previous repairs.
The resident also alleged that representatives from the Jelapang state assemblyman’s office had conducted a site visit, but no meaningful follow-up action or lasting improvements have been carried out.
“Representatives from the Jelapang assemblyman’s office came to inspect the area and took photographs. However, the only action seen so far has been temporary patchwork repairs.
“For more than eight years, residents of Taman Rishah have had to use roads that are in poor condition.
“The problem not only affects the comfort of road users but also raises safety concerns for local residents.
“As residents, we hope this issue will be given serious attention. What is needed is not merely visits and photo sessions, but concrete follow-up action and high-quality, long-term road improvements.
“The people’s voices must be heard. Residents are not asking for luxury, only safe and properly maintained roads for daily use,” the resident said.
