IPOH: A streetlight that had been covered by overgrown creeping plants along Persiaran Jelapang 4 in Taman Silibin here has been cleared by the relevant authorities as of Tuesday afternoon.
Jelapang assemblyman Cheah Puo Hian said this in response to a recent report by Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic highlighting the issue.
He said the clearing works were carried out by the Ipoh City Council (MBI).

Previously, Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic reported complaints from Ipoh residents about the streetlight in Silibin, which had become obscured by vegetation.
Members of the public have called on the relevant authorities to regularly monitor streetlights around Ipoh to ensure they are functioning properly and are not obstructed, including by overgrown trees and plants.
