IPOH: The Ipoh City Council (MBI) is carrying out road rehabilitation and resurfacing works on Jalan Raja Dihilir and Jalan Lahat under the 2026 Malaysian Road Records Information System (MARRIS) allocation.

The project aims to enhance road safety, improve driving comfort, and ensure smoother traffic flow along both routes.

At Jalan Raja Dihilir, the works involve the carriageway heading towards Ipoh city centre and Tambun.

The project is scheduled to run for 20 weeks, from 6 July to 23 November 2026.

Meanwhile, at Jalan Lahat, resurfacing works cover the stretch from the Jalan Leong Boon Swee junction to the Jalan Kledang Utara junction, including the opposite direction.

The Jalan Lahat project is expected to take 10 weeks, from 6 July to 14 September 2026.

MBI has advised all road users to observe traffic management instructions, comply with safety signage, and plan their journeys in advance to minimise inconvenience.

Members of the public are also urged not to park vehicles or place any obstructions on road reserves, traffic lanes, or road shoulders to facilitate the construction works.

MBI reaffirmed its commitment to improving the city’s infrastructure to create a safer, more comfortable, and conducive urban environment in line with the Ipoh Bestari Sejahtera vision.
