Perak-Born Fashion Brand Makes Its Mark On The KLFW 2026 Runway

By Zaki MS

IPOH – Perak-born fashion brand Zachrin Jaafars continues to strengthen its position in Malaysia’s fashion industry through the showcase of its ‘TITIPAN’ collection at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2026, held at Suria KLCC Esplanade, Kuala Lumpur recently.

The showcase also marked the brand’s 10-year journey in building its distinctive identity and creativity within the fashion industry.

Interestingly, the ‘TITIPAN’ collection also featured creations by entrepreneurs and practitioners of clay batik, who are MARA-supported entrepreneurs from Perak.

The collaboration not only combined fashion creativity with local craft heritage but also created opportunities for local craft and textile products to become part of the fashion industry’s value chain.

The initiative is in line with the aspirations of MARA in Fashion (MiF), a platform for the development of MARA fashion entrepreneurs.

It focuses on developing designers, pattern makers, manufacturers and retailers through training, guidance and skills enhancement.

The initiative also supports efforts to develop competitive local fashion brands with the potential to penetrate both domestic and international markets.

Participation at the KLFW 2026 runway demonstrates that the synergy between creativity, heritage and entrepreneurship can create new opportunities for local entrepreneurs to reach higher platforms.

MARA’s continued support is expected to further strengthen the local fashion industry ecosystem while nurturing more competitive Malaysian brands with the potential to penetrate the global market.

Also present to lend their support were MARA Entrepreneur Development Division Director Rizal Effendy Razali and MARA Perak State Director Yuhaniz Mohamad Padil.
