By Zaki Salleh

IPOH – Perak State Economic Development Corporation (PKNPk) continues to strengthen its collaboration with Sekolah Kebangsaan St. Michael (SKSMI), Ipoh, through the StratCom Jr. Programme.

The programme aims to expose students to communication, digital literacy and modern media.

As part of the collaboration, PKNPk Chief Executive, Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak, officiated the Green Studio at SKSMI, which is equipped with facilities to support video and digital content production.

PKNPk said in a statement that the initiative also saw the corporation contributing an iPhone 15 along with media equipment and accessories to the SKSMI Media Team.

The contribution is intended to help students produce creative content while documenting various school activities in a more organised manner.

“The StratCom Jr. Programme does not merely focus on the use of cameras, studios and technology, but also builds students’ confidence to communicate and express their ideas.

“Through the programme, students are also exposed to the importance of using media in a positive, creative and responsible manner.

“The initiative is seen as capable of producing a digital generation that is not only technologically literate, but also able to use communication skills to create impactful content,” the statement said.

PKNPk hopes the initiative will contribute to developing a creative, confident and digitally skilled younger generation in Perak, in line with the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030.
