IPOH – Two new LED-type solar streetlight poles have been installed along Jalan Lahat Pusing near the Memorial Plaque.
The installation work was recently completed by a contractor appointed by the Ipoh City Council (MBI).
Also present were Jelapang State Assemblyman (ADUN), Cheah Pou Hian, and the MBI Councillor for Jelapang Zone 19.
The installation of the lights was carried out following an incident in which a road sign on the road divider was damaged after being hit by a vehicle.
The new solar lighting is expected to provide better illumination, particularly at night.
The measure also aims to improve the safety of road users in the area.
At the same time, follow-up action has been taken to ensure the damaged road sign is repaired promptly.
The MBI’s swift response after receiving a complaint regarding the condition has been welcomed by the relevant parties.
The effort is considered important to ensure that public facilities in the area remain in good and safe condition.
Cooperation from all parties is hoped to ensure that the safety and convenience of road users remain a priority.
