IPOH – SMK Bercham, Ipoh, representing Perak, achieved outstanding success at the 2026 National TVPSS (Television at the School Resource Centre) Festival held at Hotel Premier, Klang, Selangor.
Organised by the Educational Resources and Technology Division, Ministry of Education Malaysia, in collaboration with Sinar Bestari, the festival aimed to promote and develop students’ talents in videography and journalism.
SMK Bercham won six major awards, including Best Video and Best Director.
The school also secured the Best Presenter, Best Cameraman and Best Editor awards.
Its success was completed with the Best Script award, highlighting the TVPSS team’s strength across various fields.
SMK Bercham also won second place for Best Actor and fourth place for the National TVPSS Teacher Icon award.
Meanwhile, SK Dato’ Laksamana Raja Mahkota, Teluk Intan, also brought honour to Perak after being listed among the top five schools.
The school placed fourth for Best Editor and fifth respectively for Best Cameraman and Best Script.
The achievements of both schools demonstrate the growing talent among Perak students in media, journalism and creative content production.
The success is hoped to inspire TVPSS teams across Perak to achieve further recognition at the national level in the future.
