IPOH – The daily hustle of media work was set aside for a while as about 30 media practitioners in Perak took part in the ‘Jom Mancing: YB Sandrea Bersama Media 2026’ programme.
The casual event was held at Aisha DNI Agro Resort, involving media practitioners from various agencies across the state.
Also present were Perak Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Sandrea Ng and Persatuan Pengamal Media Perak (PPMP) chairman Sayed Mohd Hesham Syed Idris.
The programme not only provided media practitioners with an opportunity to showcase their fishing skills, but also served as a platform to strengthen ties between the media and the state government.
Sandrea said the good relationship that has been established between her and Perak media practitioners is highly appreciated and should continue to be strengthened.
She said the media plays an important role in delivering information and current developments to the public.
She also expressed her appreciation for the role and cooperation provided by media practitioners in helping disseminate information concerning matters of public interest.
“It was enjoyable to spend time with our media friends in such a relaxed atmosphere. It was not about who caught the most fish,” she said.
She said the most important thing was for everyone involved to relax, chat and strengthen their relationships regardless of their respective duties and busy schedules.
“The important thing is, none of us got skunked yesterday,” she joked, while expressing her appreciation to PPMP and all parties involved in making the programme a success.
