Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Makmur Negeri Perak (PERKAM) will organise a World Sight Day celebration on 24 October 2026 at Sentra Mall Klebang in Chemor, Perak.
The event, scheduled to begin at 3.30 pm, will offer free eye screening and free eye specialist consultations. A colouring contest for children aged 7 to 12 will also be held.
Several organisations and departments are involved in the programme, including the Perak State Education Department, the Perak Health Department, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun Ipoh, Justsee Eye Clinic, Hospital KPJ Ipoh, Sentra Mall Management and MOG Eye Wear Group.
PERKAM describes itself as the only non-governmental organisation in Malaysia to organise such a programme. Its main objective is to raise awareness of eye health and care among parents and students.
