IPOH – Ipoh continues to establish itself as a popular food tourism destination, with 160 AmBank Group employees participating in the Food Hunt 2026 programme.
The programme, organised by the AmBank Group Club (KAG), saw participants travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh on a special KTM Charter Train service.
The programme provided participants with an opportunity to explore the variety of local delicacies that have become one of the main attractions for tourists visiting the city.

Ipoh is well known for its diverse range of traditional dishes and local delicacies, which attract visitors from within Malaysia and abroad.
The group’s visit also highlighted Ipoh’s potential as a preferred destination for group activities that combine tourism, food and shared experiences.
In addition to enjoying the food-hunting experience, the programme aimed to strengthen relationships among AmBank Group employees outside the workplace.
The KAG initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to organising creative activities that provide added value to its employees.

Meanwhile, the use of the KTM Charter Train offered a comfortable and safe journey while providing participants with a different travel experience.
The special train service also enabled the group to travel in a more organised manner while enjoying the journey together.
Such programmes not only strengthen corporate relationships but also have the potential to promote Ipoh as a food tourism destination, contributing to the growth of the local economy and tourism sector.
