IPOH: The motocross track in Manjoi is attracting riders of all experience levels, including young people and women, highlighting its potential to become a popular recreational destination for the local community.
During a visit to the track operated by ManjoiMX Motocross, Ipoh City Council (MBI) Chief Whip Datuk Mazlan Abd Rahman said the facility provided an opportunity for the community to engage in recreational activities during their leisure time.
“We had the opportunity to exchange ideas, views and suggestions on how to enhance and improve the track.
“I was impressed by the enthusiasm of the riders here. It is not just experienced riders who are involved, but also young people and women who are actively participating in motocross.
“This demonstrates that the sport has the potential to grow further and become a popular motorsport activity among the public,” he said.

Mazlan said community-driven initiatives such as this deserved greater attention, adding that improved facilities could provide a more comfortable training environment, attract more participants and create opportunities for future events.
He also listened to suggestions and requests from the ManjoiMX Motocross team regarding the needs of the facility.
“I will try to raise the matters highlighted with the relevant authorities, depending on their suitability and available resources.
“As an initial show of support, I have also made a contribution to help with efforts to beautify and improve the track. I hope this small contribution will benefit those managing the facility and the motocross community in Manjoi,” he said.
Mazlan expressed hope that efforts to upgrade the track would continue progressively, enabling it to develop into a better facility for riders and the wider community.
