IPOH: Large, ageing trees that pose a risk of falling should be properly managed to prevent incidents that could endanger public safety.
Recently, the Ipoh City Council (MBI) carried out felling and pruning works on high-risk trees around the row of shops near Kampung Baru Tanah Hitam, Ulu Kinta.
Ipoh City Council (MBI) Chief Whip of Councillors Datuk Mazlan Abd Rahman said prompt action was crucial to eliminating potential risks before they led to accidents.

He thanked the MBI Landscape Department team for removing and trimming trees that posed a threat to public safety in the area.
“Heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the MBI Landscape Department team for their efforts in felling and pruning trees that posed a risk and threatened public safety along the row of shops in Kampung Baru Tanah Hitam, Ulu Kinta.
“Thank you for the prompt action and cooperation in ensuring the safety and comfort of the local community,” he said.
