IPOH – The state-of-the-art facilities at the PERKESO Sultan Nazrin Shah Rehabilitation Centre here recently welcomed a delegation from Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

The delegation was given an opportunity to take a closer look at the centre’s facilities, modern rehabilitation technologies and comprehensive patient management approach developed by PERKESO.

Some members of the delegation even described the facilities as truly “extraordinary”.

PERKESO Group Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Dr. Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed, said the visit also aimed to explore potential cooperation between both parties.

“During the meeting, representatives from Bethesda Hospital also shared their aspirations to expand physiotherapy services and develop a dedicated neurorehabilitation centre, particularly for stroke patients in Yogyakarta.

“I view this aspiration as a good opportunity for both parties to share experiences and expertise, especially in strengthening post-treatment rehabilitation services to ensure patients receive the continuity of care they need.

“I believe PERKESO’s experience in developing and operating a comprehensive rehabilitation centre can serve as a valuable reference for this initiative,” he said in a statement.

Mohammed Azman added that PERKESO remained open to exploring cooperation in rehabilitation centre development, clinical expertise sharing, technology transfer and workforce capacity building.
