PHI Tops in Talent Building Award

Pantai Hospital Ipoh turned out tops in a recent Talent Building Award organised by the Malaysian Employee Federation (MEF) recently. The inaugural event, held recently, was to recognise, reward and further develop staff with talents within their organisations. Other shortlisted entries who qualified for the finals were Lost World of Tambun, Finisar Malaysia and Hospital Fatimah.

Pantai Hospital Ipoh’s entry was on Festivals in Malaysia where each festival (Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Diwali, etc.) was celebrated through special animated decorations set up at the hospital’s front lobby. Chief Operating Officer, Ms Kelen Leong said that the decorations spread festive cheer and brought joy to the sick as well as those visiting loved ones. Ms Kelen said the decor was unique as discarded material were reused and made into beautiful works of art. She said the team’s efforts tapped into staff creativity as well as created a synergy that was wonderful to behold. She added that each festival was carefully thought out with a theme, bringing together the young and old together. The hospital decoration team consisted of staff from various departments in the hospital and was headed by Mr Ganesan Satimuti, Senior Biomedical Executive.
