After much hard work and dedication, Pengkalan Hulu Perak District Council won first place in the state level Innovation and Creativity Convention held at Perak State Secretariat recently.
The council grabbed the RM5000 cash prize together with a trophy when they introduced a new system that allowed the public to apply for amalgamation of agriculture and receive the result within a day. Previously, if anyone applies for amalgamation in the agriculture industry, they would need to wait for five months.
“Our mission has always been about serving in the best way. We want to provide the best service to the public and with this achievement, I believe we are getting better,” said Mohd Syukri Azaari, representative from the district office.
Runner up went to Ipoh City Council (MBI) and Kerian District Council took third place.
