Zulfadli Lod

For this issue, Ipoh Echo meets a man who loved his toys and childhood so much, he opened a shop filled with exclusive toys and figura (model figures) for people who share the same interest with him. Meet Zulfadli Lod or known as Jojo to many, the owner of Kolek (collect).

“I am a proud of owner of so many toys and vintage items. Too many, to the point it is time to share with others,” said Jojo.

Graduated with a diploma in Graphic & Design from UiTM, Jojo has ventured into different fields of business such as catering and others but Kolek is indeed something more than just a money maker for this single lad.

“Although most of the collections here are mine, I do have friends donating  items and memorabilia to be sold at Kolek. Among my favourite items are the figura from the animated show Thundercats, such as Jaga, Lion-O, TYgra, Panthro and more.”

Also working as the event manager for Khizanat, Jojo has many exciting plans for Kolek, including upgrading the store, “After opening almost one and a half years, Kolek has received a lot of warm response from collectors of toys and vintage items. My dream is to open a bigger Kolek to store and display more collectibles”.

Readers who are keen on seeing and buying toys and vintage items at Kolek can do so by visiting the store at 3A, Lorong Cecil Rae, Taman Canning Ipoh. Items can also be purchased by visiting Kolek’s Facebook and Instagram page at www.facebook.com/kolek or www.instagram.com/kolekipoh.
