Menteri Besar Incorporated (MB Inc) invites the public, especially university undergraduates on semester break and those due for graduation to apply for the Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No. 5 (TT5) Volunteer Programme.
The programme, according to its media release, provides an opportunity for applicants to not only earn their own pocket money but also to gain experience and learn about Perak’s once-lucrative tin mining industry. TT5, incidentally, is the only fully restored tin dredge standing in the country. This in itself is a record of sorts.
Application is open to four volunteers in which two will have their shifts on weekends. TT5 is still in need of four to six volunteers during public and school holidays.
Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old. Working hours are from 9 am to 6 pm daily. Training will be provided.
Besides honing their communication skills and gaining knowledge on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), other responsibilities of volunteers include tending to visitors, dulang washing demonstration, tour-guiding and customer service.
Those interested may apply via Facebook: www.facebook.com/tanjungtualangno5, Email: email@example.com or call/WhatsApp: 014 904 3255 for a walk-in interview at TT5.
