Explore Perak on four Wheels—Fun and Safe

Some 20 participants from Explore Perak on Wheels (EPW) were excited with Ipoh’s diverse uniqueness after rounding town in a fancy car.

The participants from Kuala Lumpur were brought to tour Ipoh via GoTraz Sdn Bhd and Zaman Motors.

According to the general manager of Tourism Perak, Zuraida Mohd Taib, programmes like this are one of the best ways to enjoy the specialty of tourism products in Perak.

“We’re well-informed that Perak received the most number of tourists even though we’re still in the midst of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO),” she stated after a release ceremony for participants at ASOW Eatery Station, Paloh 101, Ipoh recently.

“Nevertheless, the state government is still at high caution towards management of and adherence to SOPs for all sectors, especially tourism industry players,” Zuraida stressed.

“In fact, the duration of visit from the participants were rather brief considering Perak having a multitude of points of interest worth going to, especially cuisines from different races,” she expressed.

Meanwhile, the managing director for Tourism Perak, Ada Poon stated that the EPW programme is a fun and safe one, made to suit the current situation.

“EPW is a digital effort to enliven the tourism industry in Perak,” she explained. “Businesses utilising digital portal mechanisms are an innovative method to attract tourists faster.

“Participants were brought for a one-night stay at Banjaran Hotsprings and a few more tourist locations such as Tanjung Tualang and Teluk Intan,” Ada added.
