RM219,000 for 73 State NGOs 

Some RM219,000 was contributed by the state government to the Perak State Community Development Council (MPMNP).

According to the State Executive Councillor for Women Development, Family and Community Welfare, Dato’ Dr Wan Norashikin Wan Noordin, the fund is to aid 73 NGOs in Perak helmed by MPMNP.

“The NGOs comprise those for the disabled, general welfare, senior citizens, orphanages and single mothers,” she told reporters during the mock cheque presentation ceremony at the state secretariat building here today (November 13).

Present to receive the mock cheque was the chairman of MPMNP, Dato’ Rafaai Mokthar.

“Each organisation will be receiving a one-off payment of RM3,000,” Wan Norashikin mentioned.

“Hopefully, the NGOs will utilise the funds to its best for purposes of welfare and development activities.

“Payment will be channeled to the NGOs latest by the end of this month,” Wan Norashikin added.
